The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations, ensuring workplace safety, managing material flow, and maintaining high standards of efficiency and quality. This role plays a key part in leading the production team, optimizing processes and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production activities and ensure a safe, organised, and efficient work environment.
- Lead and motivate the production team to meet output targets and quality standards.
- Enforce compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the production floor.
- Manage incoming and outgoing material shipments, ensuring accurate quantity tracking and documentation.
- Monitor inventory of machine parts and production supplies.
- Report daily team productivity and operational updates to management.
- Track and follow up on the progress of material shipments.
- Document and maintain production processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Train team members on proper equipment usage, PPE and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with the Safety Coordinator to plan and conduct safety training and emergency drills.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and occupational safety regulations.
- Assist in planning and optimizing factory layout for improved workflow.
- Support maintenance and repair activities for the factory, laboratory, and office facilities.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to enhance team productivity.
- Conduct regular team meetings focused on safety, quality, and operational updates.
- Coordinate with the China Engineering team on equipment upgrades and process improvements.
Requirements
- Diploma in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in production, planning, or fabrication.
- Proficient in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work a 5.5-day week.
