BR Metals has set up the BR Metals Scholarship for the Bachelor of Science with Honours in Chemical Engineering at the Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), Singapore’s first university of applied learning and its fifth autonomous university. We will commit an aggregate of $30,000 for a period of four years, the bond-free scholarship cover half university tuition fees for the period of study.

The university sponsorship is the first for BR Metals, and will be open to candidates in 2021 for a period of four years. We have chosen to establish the scholarship with SIT because we are convinced that applied learning empowers students to better meet the challenges of the real world with the requisite skills and mindset to get ahead.

As part of our CSR efforts to transform lives through education, the BR Metals Scholarship will target Singaporean students from disadvantaged backgrounds with a strong record of academic and co-curricular achievements. This scholarship will help young Singaporeans to pursue their academic dream and realise their aspirations, especially for those who have overcome seemingly impossible odds.
